At NLP we provide challenging and energetic workouts for the young and young at heart that will test your strength, stamina, conditioning and produce realistic results. NLP workouts are functional, varied and intense. They also scale to any ability level—our members range from elite athletes to eighty-something grandmothers—so whatever shape you’re starting from, you’ll be able to jump right in.

 We apply High Intensity Interval Training to all of our workouts. 

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)

The Routine of the Day or as we call it the ROD is a set of exercises that we perform daily. For an example the ROD can incorporate running, kettlebell swings, rowing, Olympic lifting, medicine ball slams and hitting a bag. The ROD is changed daily. 

A basic workout will involve a dynamically charged warm-up period to raise the body’s internal core temperature, several cycles of high-intensity work, and a cool down period. The whole workout will usually take less than an hour and you’ll be surprised with the results.

The Essentials Workshops utilize the H.I.I.T principles and teaches you the basic movement patterns. An emphasis is placed on learning different exercise modalities and technical precision and skills with a variety of training tools.. Without learning the different movement patterns and proper mechanics, such as in using a kettlebell or as basic as learning to do a proper squat you cannot workout safely and efficiently during a HIIT class. The Essentials Workshops is designed to be a bridge between traditional workouts and the skills needed to perform effectively during a high intensity interval training. After completing this important phase, you may then participate in the H.I.I.T  Routine of the Day, (RODs ). If our schedule doesn’t work for you but you would still like to participate in the program, please email us for available options.  Private and semi-private class options are available by request for small groups and couples. The Essential Workshops will be scheduled as the demand calls for it.

Compare the HIIT approach to more traditional approaches that feature fun things like jogging for hours, swimming endless laps, and heavy dieting. Short intense workouts are certainly more fun and more likely to fit into your busy life. This type of training is very intense but can be done by everyone. Our trainers at NLP will closely monitor your movements and performance and ensure a safe workout environment.
