The Coach
Donald Girard - CrossFit level I Coach, CrossFit Olympic Lifting Coach, Kettlebell Instructor, ACE-CPT
Donald is the dynamic combination of smart, skilled, and dedicated. He brings over 10 years of training experience to the NLP training center. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of body mechanics and as a result can train for maximum results, without risking injury. As a versitile trainer Donald earned his reputaion as a Head Trainer while working for the Staten Island South Shore YMCA. Donald trains his clients as they are intended to move, naturally through functionally integrated movements not isolated muscle groups. Donald’s vision is to create an enviorment that will provide people with a combination of perspiration, motivation and inspiration which will prepare his clients for the challenges that life places in their paths and becoming the best they can be. Donald combines his expertise as a functional trainer, Olympic lifting coach, and Kettlebell Instructor as well as a speed, agility, and quickness specialist, paired with his cutting edge approach to fitness, which makes for a demanding yet rewarding training experience. His passion is to see that his client’s succeed in attaining their fitness goals.

The Motivator
Juan Beccera – Certified Underground Strength Coach ![]()
As Next Level Performance co-founder, his vision was to open a gym that would satisfy his love of fitness and people. Juan has been training now for over 2 years and has motivated many to change their bad habits and lifestyles. An accomplished runner and dedicated trainer, Juan has lost over 40 lbs and has inspired others to do the same. ” My passion is motivating people to make the change to enter a new world of health, fitness, and wellness – and to stay there.” Juan’s deep love of training has motivated him to seek a certification as an Underground Strength Coach. Young athletes took to his training style and loved it. Juan motivates these young athletes into becoming competetive and productive team players. He has worked with people at all levels of fitness and has dedicated his life to improving the lives of others by providing a practical and effective no-nonsense approach to health and fitness.

The Kettlebellist
Chris has taken his love of fitness to a higher level. As Next Level Performance co-founder, Chris realized the importance of certifications. So he enlisted in the Russian Kettlebell Challenge and has become a disciple of Pavel Tousiline by becoming a kettlebell instructor. All of his hard-earned wisdom and experience has led him to conclude that, for himself and his clients, the best training tool and approach for strength and conditioning – hands down – is kettlebell training. Chris often leads the HIIT classes and has become an important asset as a trainer for Next Level Performance. His love working with young athletes and teaching them the value of Kettlebell training and it’s importance for strength and conditioning has assisted in the continued growth of Next Level Performance.

The Inspirer
Rocky Ferrante
Rocky has been involved in basketball since the age of 5 years old. During High School Rocky played at Curtis where he lead his team to two Staten Island PSAL Championships. Rocky’s hard work and love for basketball got him a four year scholarship to Chowan University in Murfreeboro, NC and played basketball for GV Waltrop a professional basketball team in Germany. Rocky states, “everyone wants to win, but not everyone is willing to prepare to win”. His nature tends to inspire his athletes to increase their awareness in their movements and to develop speed , agility and quickness in their game.
